Thank you Toyota...I own a 2006 Toyota Rav4 with well over 100k miles! other than burning oil and basic wear and tear, I have never had a leak or an issue with this vehicle! Recently Toyota was nice enough to rebuild my motor under a recall for excessive oil consumption, the work was compleated at Vanderstyne Toyota in Rochester NY...I was treated like royalty, given a loaner and was truly amazed that Toyota had stepped up to approve the repair... Now the Bad: Shortly after getting the vehicle back I noticed my transmission slipping, I checked the fluid level and noticed it was low a qt. I figured it was an oversight from the repair. A few weeks went by and it happend again, because of where I park it (on my side lawn) I obviously never saw the leak. I brought it back to Vanderstyne and was told that I have a Torque converter seal leak and had nothing to do with the repairs that were done. They told me that the sealed trans was seperated from the motor but the torque converter was never disrupted. Thats a very bold claim especially when the exposed part had to dangle in the air on the lift, and had to be swung back into the vehicle...Vanderstyne did offer to fix the problem for $1,300.00+...I now have an unusable 2006 Toyota Rav4 sitting in my yard...If I had not had the recall compleated and my transmission was never seperated from my motor I don't believe I would be having this issue right now! $1300.00 buys about 350qts. of oil! I should never have had the recall completed! ...Well they changed My Mind...Received a call from Teresa They are coming to Pick up the car and repair the problem. Will Definitely purchase my next car from these guys!!! Way to Step up! Thanks

I had a wonderful experience at Vanderstyne Toyota. I had an ongoing issue with my Tacoma, but the warranty recently expired. I had called the dealership in which i purchased the vehicle and they simply gave me the 800 warranty number to call. I then called and spoke to Tim, the service manager at Vanderstyne, and he told me to bring it in and he would see what he could do. Tim's crew was able to find the problem, and performed a GOOD WILL fix .. It is great to see people that actually care to do a good job. Would definitely recommend the dealership, and wished that I purchased there in the first place.

I've gotten my car serviced here for all of its 125k mile life. They are clear and upfront about what needs work but they don't push unnecessary fixes. The waiting room chairs aren't very comfortable though.
